Hello there! You do not at all sound stupid! I am not an expert in the garden either (that's my mother); I just go around taking pictures of whatever I think is pretty. =) Theses happen to be the berries on one of my laurel bushes. I have a huge hedge that I'm attempting to fill in along the fence. Thanks for your interest!
It sure looks pretty in your piece of the globe. I've never been there. Do you actually have real seasons? We do...sort of. Nothing like Virginia or Maryland though. I have to buy fake leaves and sprinkle them around the house to get that fall feeling. In spite of all, It's still my favorite season.
Yes, we DO have real seasons! I love it here in the PNW. We have snow in the winter, hot summers, and mild in-betweens. =) Although, my husband and I dream of spending more time in Florida-our favorite vacation spot! Talk about the exact opposite, huh?
I love the Lord who is the Master Gardener, my beautiful family, my humble home, and all things organic, natural, and ancient.
"I AM the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. I am the vine, ye are the branches: he that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing." John 15: 1 & 5
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever. Amen

Hello Michele,
I hope you are enjoying your weekend! :)

They do kind of look like olives. A striking photo.
They do look like olives, don't they! I would love to have some of those around my yard--I am enraptured by the mediterranean!
