The view...
...from my cozy downstairs couch, looking up through the kangaroo plant toward the ample skylight. I love to curl up here under the balmy light and cascading greenery. It'll cure what ails you.
I came to your blog from Lady Farmer Parables where I admired your beautiful bird artwork. You have such a relaxing and tranquil place here ~ the music is beautiful and your little ones so sweet.I thought it cute that you love things "ancient" (guess that's older than "vintage").
Kat~ I think it got it's name by the way the new leaves "spring" from the vine, below the previous leaves. But, I'm not even sure I'm remembering the name right. My husband and I bought the plant shortly after we moved into our home ~ almost ten year ago! It loves the spot and has grown by "leaps and bounds"! =)
Thank you all for your kind comments, and for visiting!
Lucy....I'm Home! Hey I was just wondering if you and all of your peeps are OK. I'm not sure where you live in relation to the recent flooding. Be sure to drop me a line & let me know. LoVe & PrAyErs -Me
I love the Lord who is the Master Gardener, my beautiful family, my humble home, and all things organic, natural, and ancient.
"I AM the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. I am the vine, ye are the branches: he that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing." John 15: 1 & 5
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever. Amen

I want to lay on your couch! I lay on mine and see...the ceiling, or out the window I can see the back side of a shrub. Not the same calming effect!
Lovely view. Why do they call it a kangaroo plant?
