The sun reflected in the still water. We caught glimpses through the leaves of kayakers as they mysteriously appeared, gliding by almost silently.
A fellow trekker, finding tasty shoots to nibble. He was surprisingly un-shy! Until our tiniest girl attempted to snuggle him.
The sweet local flora, including some gleaming salmon~berries.

What a lovely outing! And the little bunny made me smile - how fun that you 'caught' him on camera!
Dear Michele,
What a beautiful spot to visit. I can't believe it's so close to skyscrapers, either! Ever since I read the Little House books, I wondered what a slough looked like, and now I know. It looks like our kind of place, for sure!
Love,

p.s. Tasha says if you'd like to be members of her "Nature Bature" club, to let her know and she'll swear you in!
A 'nature bature' club, eh? Sounds intriguing! Do tell! =)
Dear Michele,
What a beautiful time :) Your photos are just wonderful. I love how the sun is reflected on the water. And the bunny picture is so cute. I especially love the picture of your daughters, too precious!
have a blessed weekend and thanks for sharing :)
