I knead you

Since we don't (yet) churn butter on Thursdays, we bake instead. Here is my little apprentice practicing some kneading with her own little lump of dough. Fold, press, turn, fold, press, turn...

"Hmmm. That looks very interesting..."

"Maybe you guys 'knead' a little help."

"I even brought dog and meerkat for reinforcements."

And the fruits of our labor; Daddy especially liked the special little bun on the top.

too cute....what you are doing, letting her "help mom"...is strengthening a bond that no one will be ever able to disturb....
you probably already know that ;)

Yum, fresh bread! I made bread today too. :) Don't you love the way the whole house smells good when bread is baking?

Your girlies are so precious. By the way, I was wondering if you find that the glass loaf pans work better than metal.

Hi guys! Thanks for your sweet comments.

Anne Marie, too true. I always need reminders of just how important it is to "tie on strings".

R & W's Mama, I do so love the smell of baking bread! I may just like it best of the whole process! How fun that we were both baking the same day! =)

LF, I have many slices to fill you guys up before sending you off!

Miss Riya, I have been looking for some nice metal pans, but I don't like the non-stick ones, and they're all I can find. The glass seems to work fine (maybe the outside of the loaves gets a little crisper), but I haven't compared. Do YOU know where I might find plain old aluminum pans? =D
