We Played by the River

Just pulled off the freeway, climbed through the brush, and plunked ourselves down on the sunny rocks.

We snacked on pretzels...

threw rocks into the river...

"painted" rocks with sticks dipped in the water...

and made ourselves up with rock lipstick. Who knew?!

We will definitely be coming back here again soon!

Dear Michele,

Thanks so much for stopping by and wishing Audrey a happy birthday! The scenery around your neck of the woods is so gorgeous; heavenly, even.

We'll have to give rock lipstick a try. Did you come home with bags and buckets of rocks, as we always seem to? It's funny how much heavier our van seems to be on the way home from a nature outing!

Love,

Marqueta

p.s. I'll have to link your blog to mine so I don't miss any more posts! They're lovely.

Oh, sunshiney summer days by a pristine river - nothing like it! Love the scenery (and your hat, and the girls' mathing sweaters!)
