Now we're cookin'
My dear friend sent me this great cookbook. It's filled with her handwritten notes, her personal testimony of surviving Hurricane Katrina, and, of course, some really tasty recipes. I can't wait to try them out! Thank you so much for sharing your life with this gift from the heart, Miss Riya! I thank the Lord for our friendship!
I saw your post the night you wrote it, but didn't have time to comment. I'm glad to see it arrived safely if not in a timely manner. I paid extra so it would arrive in two days, but it seems to have taken a detour. Oh well...I guess I'm still thankful for our postal system....It would have been really hard to cram that thing into a bottle and there is no telling where it might have landed! :-) *Be sure to let me know when you get a chance to try one of the recipes...and be honest! If you try something and hate it let us know. We'll only hold a grudge for a few days....just kidding! P.S. Did you get a chance to look at the pictures?
What a great gift! Isn't it fun to have special blogging buddies that are so thoughtful to send along words of encouragment, cards and sometimes little gifts? Can't wait to see "What's Cookin'" at your house!
I love the Lord who is the Master Gardener, my beautiful family, my humble home, and all things organic, natural, and ancient.
"I AM the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. I am the vine, ye are the branches: he that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing." John 15: 1 & 5
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever. Amen
