Dinner and dancing

What's for dinner?

Greenhouse Chili
*************
1 lb. ground beef
1 lb. beef stew meat
2 diced tomatoes
1 diced onion
2 diced hot chili peppers
2 T minced garlic
2-3 T chili powder
2 cans tomato sauce
1 can each of black beans and kidney beans
1 can fire-roasted tomatoes
1 small can tomato paste

Brown the ground beef and stew meat in olive oil with salt and pepper. Throw everything into a large crock-pot, turn it on "low" and forget about it for 8 hours or so.

Mix up a box of Jiffy corn muffins (add a couple handfuls of corn kernels to the batter before baking.)

Turn on some big band music and enjoy your feast together!

Somehow I just can't picture Christopher Swing dancing?! :~O

Yes, Michele, there is music to those words. (Tryin to sound like "Yes, Virginia, there is a
Santa Clause" here)It is an old hymn, but unfortunately playlist doesn't have it. It's not even in my new hymnal. I'll have to go check if it is in the hymnal that was Grandma's. Or do you have that?

Looks yummy, Michele! Chili is a favorite at our house when the weather turns cold.

Well, much to my surprise, as well, my rythmically challenged husband did get up and "cut the rug" with his two goofy little girls. I started cracking up. Unfortunately, I had a mouthful of chili...

And no, that item happens to not be in my inventory at this time. If you find it, DON'T GET RID OF IT! =)
