When does life begin?

These precious little beans can tell you...

For Thou didst form my inward parts;
Thou didst weave me in my mother's womb.
I will give thanks to Thee, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Wonderful are Thy works,
And my soul knows it very well.
My frame was not hidden from Thee,
When I was made in secret,
And skillfully wrought in the depths of the earth.
Thine eyes have seen my unformed substance;
And in Thy book they were all written,
The days that were ordained for me,
When as yet there was not one of them.

I shutter to think that my generation has come to think of destroying a human life as just a matter of convenience. God help us! Not too long ago I had a 2nd grader from the school where I work tell me that she was never having children because her mother told her that children were too much trouble. I took a deep breath and proceeded to tell her that while children were difficult at times the blessings are greater. She shrugged and said well I guess it's a good thing we have doctors...I might want a baby, but If I change my mind my mom says they have doctors that can fix it. WHAT!!!!!(to self) I have to be careful because I work for the school, but I wanted to scream. I told the child that I didn't want to talk about it any more. She asked why. I replied, "it makes my heart hurt." She said, "oh"....silence for the rest of the bus ride. GOD HELP US!!!!

Miss Riya, I love your sweet spirit! Thank you for your comment. I'm so thankful to have beautiful, Christ-like women like you working with little ones~I know you are making a difference for the Lord! I think your truthful response to this girl probably made an impression on her heart, whether she realizes it yet or not. Blessings, my dear friend!

Only God knows the very moment life begins, because He is the one who begins it, who begins all life, every living thing, from the first to the last. Sadly, mankind has forgotten this.
